Digital implantology is advancing rapidly, from precise 3D diagnostics to navigated implant planning. In this continuing education session, Dr. Dan Brüllmann and Klaus Heiner demonstrate how modern imaging and intelligent software solutions come together to form a seamless digital workflow.
Dr. Dan Brüllmann will first introduce the various indications for CBCT imaging and explain typical clinical use cases from implantology practice. He will not only discuss current standards but also provide a fascinating look at the early days of guided implantology and the development of drilling templates.
Klaus Heiner will then demonstrate the practical digital workflow using VistaSoft Implant & Guide. Step by step, he will show how the DICOM data set is imported directly from the imaging software and merged with the STL data from an intraoral scan. Building on this, virtual implant planning takes place, including implant positioning, planning of the drill sleeves, and the design of a custom drilling template.
Participants will gain practical insights into a modern, efficient, and precise workflow, from the initial CBCT scan to the finished navigated implant planning.
